Basswood Resort
Situated in the diverse landscape of Missouri is Basswood Resort. This campground offers dog-friendly campsites and cabins, making it the "paw-fect" camping destination for dog lovers!
Though Basswood is dog-friendly, the resort does have some limitations. For starters, there's a limit of two dogs per site. Be mindful of posted signs indicating off-limit areas. At Basswood, cabins are pet-friendly, though there is a $25 cleaning fee for each dog you bring along. Your pup is never to be left alone and always be tidied up after. "Un-fur-tunately", there are breed restrictions on Dobermans, Rottweilers, Pit Bulls, and Mastiffs.
As the campground is full of recreational "op-paw-tunities," day passes are available for visitors for a cost of $5 per day. Interested in staying for longer? A variety of accommodation styles at Basswood make this flexible campground ideal for all campers. Tent sites come with both water and electricity for a cost of $38.
In total, there are 155 full hookup RV sites available, all of which come equipped with water, electric and sewage hookups. Lakeside sites, pull-through sites, as well as deluxe sites with patios or decks are all options for RV campers. RV sites can accommodate other vehicle campers including fifth wheels and pop-up trailers. All RV sites come with cable and wireless internet access. Fires are permitted on sites, but be sure to keep the fires inside of the provided rings and grills.
When it comes to entertainment and recreation, there's lots to do for both you and your pup at Basswood. For anglers, there's free fishing offered at the properties stocked lakes with no state permit required! This gives you the "paw-fect" opportunity to spend the day relaxing lakeside. In addition to the fishing lakes, you can also take a hike one of the many trails located in the campground, giving Fido a chance to exercise and potentially socialize with other guest pups.
For the kids, there's a massive playground and athletic field. Volleyball courts and a splash pad are other perks of the park. There’s an in-ground pool, and every Saturday evening, there's a movie night at the theater on-site! Not to mention the kids can enjoy wagon rides. A pizza parlor, campground store, and propane fill station are other convenient amenities you'll find at Basswood.
