Since there is water access in the park, many campers also like to take their trip as the opportunity to get out on their boats and enjoy a little time in the lake. There is a boat ramp within the campgrounds, as well as a marina. Many people participate in all different kinds of water sports in the lake. Branson, a popular tourist destination is about 30 minutes away, so a lot of camp visitors make their way to the city for shopping, dining, music, and other fun activities.

While dogs are allowed in the park, it is important that pet owners take responsibility for their dogs. Keep your dog in your area and out of the way of other camp guests. You may need to keep your dog on a leash if they can't stay in your area. While dogs are free to swim, be sure that they aren't bothering other swimmers or getting near any boats. You should never leave your dog unattended in the park, and please clean up after them throughout your stay.
