Many of the campsites are lined with landscaping stones, and most are flat and convenient for pitching tents. Guests will enjoy flushing toilets, hot showers, a dump station, and electric hookups, and while there's no wifi, guests have no trouble getting cell phone service here.
Campers at Baxter will also enjoy a beach, a boat ramp and marina, and a playground. Anglers can fish for crappie, catfish, bass, and bluegill on the White River Arm, and more than 5 million visitors come to enjoy the hundreds of miles of shoreline on Table Rock Dam each year. Campers can rent boats, life vests, and anything else they need to waterski, wakeboard, swim, or scuba dive on the lake. Nearby, you'll find the Table Rock Lakeshore Trail, a 4.4-mile path you can hike with your dog where you'll get astounding views of the water.
Plenty of other tourist attractions, including the Mark Twain National Forest, are nearby, and should you need groceries, gas, or other supplies during your stay, Branson is the best place to go.
