Description

Bishop Park Group Campground is a large campground set in eastern California. It rests in Inyo National Forest, a vast expanse encompassing woodlands and the Sierra Nevada and White mountains. The campground, which is situated next to a charming little creek, is a perfect location for group camping, and you and your fellow campers can relax and enjoy the campground’s peaceful setting and the fresh mountain air. You’ll leave your worries behind as you explore the outdoor activities in the area and experience the wonderful natural features and wildlife. And the campground is pet-friendly, so you can bring your dog along too!

Bishop Park Group Campground can accommodate up to 25 campers at its single large site. The nightly fee is $75, so camping there won’t break the bank. At the campground, you’ll have access to well-maintained facilities like picnic tables, fire rings, and flush toilets. You will also have plenty of shade from the surrounding pine, cottonwood, and aspen trees.

There are many outdoor activities you can try while you’re staying at Bishop Park Group Campground. The creek adjacent to the campground is a popular spot for fishing, and it is stocked with rainbow, brown, brook, and Alpers trout. For more great fishing, you can head to the nearby Intake Lake II. The area is also known for its selection of trails. Multiple trailheads for the John Muir Wilderness are located near the camp, so you’ll have plenty of room to hike all you want!

When you’re planning your trip to Bishop Park, remember that it is a tent-only campground (no RVs or trailers allowed). Also, you are in bear country, so make sure you store and dispose of food safely. The campground provides two bear-proof storage lockers on the premises for your convenience. Dogs must remain on-leash at all times as well.

Wag! does not allow or encourage Pet Care Providers to bring dogs to parks.
