Blue Bill Point is a small, tranquil campground that generally caters to anglers and wintertime hunters. Known for its beautiful scenery and isolation, Blue Bill makes an excellent escape for city dwellers looking for some peace.
A total of 40 sites are available here, offering a few different price points. Base level sites are for primitive camping, featuring standard overnight amenities like a campfire ring and outdoor tabletop. Electric sites are just a bit more at $18 an evening. Deluxe single-family sites referred to as "Blue Bill Standard" sites are also available, which are $20 an evening and come with additional amenities that change with the seasons. For more information on these specialty sites, make sure to reach out to the campground before your stay. If you've got a group coming, you're also in luck as Blue Bill Point provides electric group sites for $50 an evening. Make sure to keep Fido in your tent or camper if you've brought them along for your stay. Dogs are prohibited from any indoor areas inside of Blue Bill Point Campground.
Immediately adjacent to Blue Bill Point is the 20,000-acre Fort Gibson Lake. The campgrounds themselves sit on the banks of Flat Rock Bay, which provide an excellent area for fishing. Visiting anglers regularly spot species such as crappie, panfish, and white bass among others as they cast their lines and try their luck. If you're looking to do some fishing during your visit to Blue Bill Point, make sure to pack up all necessary items as rental services are notably absent. Make sure your canine is leashed up and not bothering other guests if you've got them with you for your fishing trip.
Flat Rock Bay is also a good place to get your kayak or canoe into the water. The bay features a shallow, gradual shoreline that's perfect for less-abled guests and older folks who are looking to spend the day paddling around in the water without disturbances by motorboats or jet skis. Make sure you've renewed your boat's registration before bringing it into these waters, as normal state regulations apply. Any visiting canines are allowed on private vessels but are still barred from swimming in the bay's waters.
Any would-be guests to Blue Bill Point should note that costs outlined here pertain to Blue Bill only. Additional recreational opportunities found in the surrounding areas may require additional fees.
