You can use the picnic tables that are by the lake for eating your meals with an awesome view, there are pit toilets for going to the bathroom, tent and RV camping, a boat ramp, fresh drinking water, and fires are allowed in specially designated areas of the campground. You are more than welcome to bring your dog, but they must wear their leash at all times. There are no poop bags provided, so you must bring your own and clean up after your dog when they are done going to the bathroom. Your dog is also expected to be non-aggressive and listen to your voice commands promptly.
The busiest times of year for Blue Lake Campground is July and August since the temperatures are warm and there is heaps of sunshine. Nearby, you can also enjoy a 3-mile loop trail throughout the national park that runs along the blue lake. Bird watching is another popular activity and this park one of the best places to bird watch in California.
This is a very secluded campground without any other amenities, like a gas station, 16-miles away from the forest. You will not have to worry about any traffic or highway noise.
Overall, this campground is a great option if you are looking for seclusion, a beautiful lake to fish, swim, and boat in, and want to bring your dog to enjoy some good quality time with one another!
