Description

A picturesque park on the banks of a babbling brook, Buck Creek RV Park offers the paw-fect spot for a relaxing family getaway. Located just west of Marion, North Carolina and surrounded by acres of green space, this well-kept park is a popular spot with families.

There are 74 full-hookup sites in total and the majority of them are well-shaded. Most sites are found just a bone's throw from Buck Creek, and the tranquility of camping with the sound of running water in the background can't be understated. The bathhouse is clean and features all the essentials, but the shower stalls are a little on the cramped side.

30-amp full-hookup sites range from $40 to $48 a night, while 50-amp full-hookup sites are priced between $44 and $52 a night. However, the park is only open from April 1 to November 1, so you'll need to find somewhere else to stay if traveling during the cooler months.

Sites feature gravel pads, and WiFi and cable TV are available, but please note that cell phone reception in the area is poor. Fire rings are also provided, while cold drinks and ice cream are sold from a small stand to help you cool off during the warmer weather.

Pets are welcome at Buck Creek RV Park but must be kept leashed and cleaned up after at all times. Please note that you'll also need to ensure that your pooch stays quiet and is kept out of the bathhouse.

In terms of attractions and activities, there are two swimming holes on Buck Creek where kids (and plenty of adults) will love to splash and play. The nearby mountainous terrain is home to numerous waterfalls and hiking trails -- Linville Falls are certainly worth checking out -- while Pisgah and Cherokee National Forests are also close by.

From its scenic location and ample greenery to the friendly service from the owners, there's plenty to like about Buck Creek RV Park. If you're exploring western North Carolina with your canine companion, this is one park you'll definitely want to visit.

Wag! does not allow or encourage Pet Care Providers to bring dogs to parks.
