By The Lake RV Park Resort

Located in Oklahoma's countryside, just two miles from Lake Murray, is By the Lake RV Resort. This RV-only camping destination is pawfect for vacationers looking for unlimited access to water activities.

All dogs are welcome at this campground, so don't leave Fido behind! You're expected to clean up all pup waste in a timely manner and keep your pooch on a leash at all times. You're also asked to never leave your pup alone, for their comfort and safety. Within the campground, you'll be pleased to find a dog park where your pooch has room to socialize with other canine campers. However, leashes are still required in the pet play area.

Campsite rates range from $43 to $48. Rates include two adults and two children, with each additional person costing $2 per night. All sites come fully loaded with water, electricity, and sewage hookups. Both 30- and 50-amp connections are available, and each site has a 110-amp outlet for the big rigs. You can also enjoy the luxury of wireless internet and cable from your own RV.

You'll find paw-lenty of ways to keep busy while visiting By the Lake. Activities at the resort include a swimming pool, playground, and games room. There's also a fishing pond located within the grounds for anglers. The park has paved roads which make it easy to walk and bike around. However, there are many nature trails surrounding the park that will appeal to adventurous pups and people. Grab your pooch and head out to explore the trails, where you may run into other walkers or catch a glimpse of some wildlife.

Just down the road from the park is one of the largest casinos in the world, the Winstar Casino. Of course, if you decide to visit the casino, you must find an alternative for Fido. Less than two miles away from the RV park is Lake Murray and all the wonders it has to offer. Such attractions include the Lake Murray Golf Course, as well as horseback riding, tennis, and water sports. You and your pup can also explore Tucker Tower. It’s located on Lake Murray and is world-famous for its 90-million-year-old meteorite, the fifth largest in the world!
