Description
Campground by the Lake is located right in the middle of South Lake Tahoe. Lake Tahoe is the largest alpine lake in the country and draws millions of visitors to the area every year. This massive campground has 178 sites and is family-friendly. While here, you are just steps away from the beaches of Lake Tahoe and one of the most famous beaches in the region, Lakeview Commons at El Dorado Beach. You are also close to trails, grocery store, cafes, and a yummy sandwich shop. With such an incredible location, this campground gets crowded during all times of the year, particularly during peak season that runs from April to October.

In the area, there are loads of activities to do such as hiking, laying out on the beach, swimming in the lake, boating, kayaking, watersports, sightseeing, visiting one of the many museums, and so much more. Mountain biking, birding, and wildlife viewing are favorite activities as well.

At the campground, there are also lots of things to keep you and your pup busy. You will have access to heated showers, six restroom facilities, grills, fire rings, and picnic tables at each site. In addition to these, a swim complex with heated pool, basketball courts, weight room, ping pong, and a playground for the kids are available at the campground for a fee. Pets are allowed at the campsite, but they must wear a leash at all times, and never ben left unattended. Always pick up after your pooch and throw the poop bags away when you are done.

Overall, Campground by the Lake is located in a beautiful, central location to Lake Tahoe and the surrounding attractions. It is excellent for families who want tons of amenities, and don't mind camping around lots of people. If you are looking to camp in a peaceful location, this may not be the best option for you.

Wag! does not allow or encourage Pet Care Providers to bring dogs to parks.
