If you're planning a vacation at the Carowinds amusement park in Charlotte, North Carolina, the Carowinds Camp Wilderness Resort is the pawfect place to stay! You can choose to stay in a cabin or at one more than 50 RV and tent sites during your stay, and there are a variety of amenities on-site to make your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as pawssible. The resort is right next to the amusement park, and they even offer a free shuttle to and from the park every day! Dogs aren't allowed to stay in cabins, but your pet can stay at an RV or tent site with you if they're on a leash when they're not in your vehicle.
The Carowinds Camp Wilderness Resort has two beautiful cabins to choose from. Camp Wilderness Lodge is a luxury camping option, and the cabin is 1,100 square feet and sleeps up to 14 people. The other option is one of the Camp Wilderness Cabins, each with two bedrooms that sleep eight people. Both cabin options have kitchen appliances, running water, air conditioning, and other great features, but guests must supply their own linens. Paved RV sites can accommodate vehicles up to 40 feet, and each one has full hookups. More than 50 of the RV sites have recently been upgraded with 50-amp hookups, and there are tent and popup sites with 30-amp service. Each RV and tent site also has a charcoal grill and a picnic table.
When you're not busy having the time of your life at the amusement park, there are lots of things to keep you busy at the resort. The swimming pool is open from Memorial Day to Labor Day, there are shuffleboard and cornhole games, restrooms with hot showers, laundry facilities, and a general store if you need to stock up on supplies.
RV sites range from $42.99 to $44.99, while cabins range from $134 to $376 depending on the type of cabin you choose and the time of year you visit. Park entrance is not included with your camping or cabin fee at this pawesome resort, but registered guests will receive a discount on park admission!
