Description

If its time to get off the grid head for Cherokee Park Campground, a wooded paradise with two glassy mirrored lakes and sparkling amenities. There are 120 scenic sites for motorhomes with a few spaces for tents during the summer months.

RVs can park up under the trees for shade or choose a sunny spot out in the open and be connected with a little help from friendly hosts to electricity (30/50 amp) and water. There is a sewer dump station at the camp and the promise of a peaceful ambiance where wildlife often makes an appearance.

The park provides a picnic table and fire ring at your level, gravel site with propane gas and firewood available to purchase. Restrooms and showers are pristine with a laundry and Wi-Fi to keep you connected.

Situated in The North-Eastern part of Ohio, this 50-acre Eden offers the perfect hideaway for campers wanting to get away from it all with the luxury of having a town close by. The delightful village of Mogadore is under six miles from Cherokee Park Campground and there you can explore and discover a history of pottery, with older pieces bearing the Mogadore stamp fetching a pretty penny in today’s collectible market.

A visit to this blissful park may find you staying on as the stresses of the outside world are washed away with nature walks or swimming and fishing in the lakes. A playground gives kids a fun place to hang out while horseshoes, shuffleboard, and basketball provide family fun. Pedal boats can be hired for good times on the lakes while an indoor games room has something for everyone.

You might be wondering if it’s okay to bring your dog and the best news is furry-pals can stay at the park and be part of the camping experience. The park rules state pooches must be on a leash and supervised at all times. There may be breed restrictions and owners are asked to pick up their woofer's waste.

Cherokee Park Campground is an Ohio oasis close to Akron city where visitors will be in awe of the Stan Hywet Hall and Gardens - a grandiose Tudor Manor cited as one of the largest homes in the country.
