In the area, you have access to all of the campgrounds and recreational areas by a five-mile connecting trail. Of course, Eagle Lake is one of the main attractions since it is awesome for swimming, fishing, kayaking, and water sports. Peaceful streams, forest, and wilderness areas abound in the area as well. Hiking, mountain biking, fishing, wildlife viewing, nature viewing, and relaxing are some of the best ways you can spend your time in Lassen National Forest. Christie Campground is located in a forest, so there is a lot of shade at the campsites. Pine trees are the most prevalent.
At the actual campground, you are about five miles away from Eagle Lake or a ten-minute drive. It is popular for tent, RV, and trailer campers that are looking for a quiet place to camp without a lot of people, and it offers spacious campsites. Each of the campsites has a paved parking area, picnic table, grill, campfire ring, and a dump station is available nearby for a $5 fee. There are also flush toilets at the campground, but there is no shower.Â
Overall, Christie Campground is peaceful, quiet, and the best spot to camp when you want to be away from the crowds. With its distance from any main roads and crowded recreational areas, you cannot go wrong with this spot.Â
