When the summer sun comes out to play, it’s time to pack up the camper and head for Cottonwoods RV Park, where memories are about to be made!
Drive into an elegant park-ground setting with an abundance of green grass and trees for tents and RV connections to electricity (30/50 amp), water, and sewer. Cozy pull-through gravel sites are fairly close to the neighbors with reasonably level pads and partial shade. A picnic table features on each site and you can use a fire pit for outdoor barbeques.
Chat with friends in faraway places with access to the internet and be impressed by the various park amenities. Keep up your fitness or take a dip in the sparkling swimming pool while the kids have fun in the playground. There’s an awesome lending library for folks wanting to catch up on their reading, plus DVDs for rainy days. The camp store has a ton of supplies including firewood, propane with ice cream for the kids, and stylish gifts to spoil folk back home. A covered pavilion brings groups together while a romantic gazebo offers a space for quiet reflection.
Don’t forget the family pooch, as this campground invites four-legged friends. Knowing dogs need their daily exercise, the caring hosts have created a dog area and politely ask for pups to remain on a leash at all times. Cleaning up their waste is also expected, so don’t forget to pack litter bags.
Cottonwoods RV Park has a recent trophy on the mantle, being voted a top Missouri RV park for 2018. The super proud hosts are always thinking up new ideas, with their popular chili cook-off, glow party, and vintage trailer rally -- these are just a few of their fun, yearly events! Try your hand at horseshoes or shoot hoops on the basketball court. If you feel like venturing out, take a five-mile drive to Columbia, home to the Missouri University and a city blessed with places of scenic beauty.
Shelter Gardens prompts an enchanting journey through artistic plantings of roses, waterfalls, and manicured grounds. Grindstone Nature Area puts hikers in the zone with just under 200 acres of intrepid, dog-friendly trails to conquer.
