Description

If your dream is to spend the summer in a country campground with green rolling hills and a glistening lake, drive into Deep River Campground and let the magic begin. This is the ideal setting for groups longing to camp out close to the water or among the trees in primitive tents for a basic daily rate of $25. Clean restrooms, showers, and a laundry are within walking distance.

RV sites are plentiful with a gravel base and spectacular views of the lake. You might need to haul out the leveling blocks as sites are not entirely flat but include a picnic table and fire ring. The daily rate for a site with full hookups is $35. Pull-through and back-in choices help the bigger rigs access their site while wifi hot-spots keep you working online.

If the call of pioneer days attracts you to stay in one the four fully furnished cabins, you’ll be suitably impressed with the cozy ambiance including a kitchen and bathroom with microwave, fridge, and heating. The family-sized cottage features a separate bedroom and living room with a few more creature comforts, including a TV, spacious bathroom, and kitchen.

The camp boasts two swimming pools up on the hill, next to a large pavilion where clubs hold events and happy couples tie the knot. The kids have their own playground and 20 acres of grassy space with trails to explore. Summer at the park is all about entertaining the kids with face painting, mining for precious stones, and treasure hunts.

Keen anglers can cast a line in the stocked lake or hire a canoe for fishing on the lake. A games room is perfect for rainy days, and the camp store has supplies and ice cream.

Vacations are a family affair, so you can bring your dog to the camp. Your pooch must stay on a leash, and owners must pick up their waste. Deep River Campground does not allow Rottweilers, Dobermans, or Pit Bulls and insists on good doggy etiquette. Not all campgrounds provide doggy bags, so pack them in the RV before you leave.

Deep River Campground and RV Park is a pawfect base for road trippers touring North Carolina and families wanting their kids to have the best summer yet. Holidays and the months of July through to October are their busiest, so booking ahead is recommended.

Wag! does not allow or encourage Pet Care Providers to bring dogs to parks.
