Hirz Bay Group 2 Campground offers a pawtastic backdrop for a reunion or large gathering. Camp by the McCloud Arm of Lake Shasta and explore the outdoors. You and your friends or family will have access to a range of land and water activities at this well-loved destination. The facility can house up to 80 people in tents or RVs with a maximum length of 30 feet. There are grills, tables, a fire ring, and pit toilets here.
Camp under the shade of oak and manzanita trees at this facility. There's a paved parking area for up to 23 vehicles near the campsite. When you want to explore outside of the campground, take a hike to Dekkas Rock on the Hirz Bay Trail. The 1.6-mile out-and-back route offers views of Shasta Lake as you walk along the shoreline. You can also head to the boat ramp with your watercraft to enjoy sports like waterskiing, wakeboarding, and boating on the 30,000-acre reservoir. This area is also a furrific place to fish for trout, crappie, Chinook salmon, and bass. Whether you're on land or the water, take in the spectacular views of Mount Shasta towering above the forest.
You can share your adventures with Fido here too -- leashed dogs can accompany you for your camping trip, and they're also welcome to accompany you as you hike and boat. Immediately remove your pal's droppings and throw them away to avoid attracting dangerous wildlife.

A few words of caution -- this area is home to poison oak and bears. Use the food lockers in the facility to secure your scented items.
