Horse Creek Campground is the perfect location for your next camping trip in California. It is situated on Lake Kaweah, a spectacular reservoir in central California’s Sierra Nevada region, and it features amazing views and excellent facilities. You can stop by for an un-fur-gettable adventure any time between May and December, and because the campground is dog-friendly, you can bring your pooch with you too!

Horse Creek Campground is fairly large, with 80 sites available in total. It rests in a valley with amazing views of the surrounding mountains, and the Kaweah River and reservoir make the scenery even more robust. The campground has a number of useful amenities; during your stay, you will have access to a picnic area, showers, drinking water, fire pits, RV hookups, electricity hookups, and more. You will also find plenty of ways to fill your time with all the fun outdoor activities in the area. Head over to Lake Kaweah for some swimming, boating, or fishing, or take a walk around some of the trails located there. You might also want to stop by the famous Sequoia National Park, which is only ten miles from the campground. Of course, you can always hang out at the campground and enjoy the company of your dog!

There are a few things you will want to consider when you are planning your trip to Horse Creek Campground. The entrance to the campsite is closed to incoming traffic after certain hours; the closing hour is 8 p.m. in the off-season and 10 p.m. in the peak season. Also note that this is not a well-shaded campground, so expect direct sunlight and high temperatures during the summer months.
