Hume Lake

Hume Lake is a picturesque, shady campground that’s close to tons of beautiful natural sites. The campground has 74 campsites, many of which offer great views of Hume Lake. The campground is surrounded by huge Jeffrey pine and Sequoia trees, keeping the campsites shady and cool.

If you’re planning on hiking during your camping trip, there are lots of great options in and around Hume Lake Campground. There are numerous footpaths in the campground that lead down to Hume Lake itself, where you can relax by the lakeshore or go fishing. If you’d like to go out on the lake, boat rentals are available at the campground.

If you want to hike through a grove of towering Sequoia trees, Bearskin Grove is just a short drive from Hume Lake. This grove has a 1.7-mile trail that takes you past a mixture of old and young Sequoia trees. There are also around 50 trees here that are six feet or more in diameter. If you’d like to see even more beautiful Sequoia trees, Sequoia National Park is about 20 miles down the road.

After you’ve finished your day’s adventures, relax and enjoy the many great amenities at Hume Lake Campground. The campground has a general store where you can get any food or supplies you may need, including firewood. There are plenty of scenic picnic tables around the campground where you can enjoy your food, and there are also lots of campfire rings where you can build your own fire. If you get thirsty, drinking water is available here as well.

Hume Lake is a lovely, shady lakeside campground with tons of amenities you and your pup will both love. Bring some doggy bags with you so you can clean up after your dog during your trip, and have fun camping at this pawesome spot!
