JGW RV Park

The JGW RV Park is the self-proclaimed gateway to the Shasta Cascade Region. That, combined with its native black oak trees, wildlife setting, and its 32-acre home on the Sacramento River Bank, makes it an exceptionally beautiful place to stay for folks (and their pooches) seeking California adventure. Before we get to the unique amenities and fun things to do, though, let's talk basics. Every site on this RV campground has full hook-ups consisting of 20, 30, or 50 amp service, cable, water, sewer, and phone lines. There are even premium spots that sit right on the riverbank! You will also have access to a coin-operated laundry room, a recreational room, a horseshoe pit, a swimming pool with solar-controlled temperature, and a friendly staff who is available 24/7. 

Your leashed doggo is welcome to join you during your adventures throughout the park. They even include a special pup-friendly, fenced-in area that allows you to let your dog run loose from the leash for a bit of unrestricted fun. Bond with other pet parents, mingle with other pooches, and enjoy the pawsitively wonderful pup-friendly environment! 

But the biggest perk of this campground is its beautiful location. You're sitting right on the Sacramento River, which is perfect for fishing, boating, kayaking, rafting, swimming, or simply strolling along the banks to spot wildlife and enjoy the outdoors. You're only 20 minutes away from the beautiful Lake Shasta, too, if you want to take your water activities to the next level. Further, you're close to so many other natural wonders, such as The Shasta Dam, Whiskeytown Lake, Castle Crags, and the famous Lassen Park. 

If you do want to check out more urban areas, the city the campground is located in (Redding) can offer you urban comforts like shopping, dining, and the unique Sundial Bridge, a fun walking bridge through town. You're also just a short drive from the town of Anderson, a spot that has several beautiful parks, shopping, and restaurants.
