Description

Located in the upper peninsula of Michigan, Kritter's Northcountry Campground & Cabins gives visitors the opportunity to explore nature in the wooded atmosphere of the northern U.S. during the summer and into the fall. With fifty spacious pull-through sites, tent areas, and multiple log cabins, you are sure to find the experience you are looking for in this campground.

Campers will enjoy the pride and time that the owners have spent in creating natural amenities such as the bird feeders that attract beautiful hummingbirds to the area and the well-maintained nature trails where berries grow waiting to be picked and eaten by the local deer, moose, and human visitors!

Kritter's Northcountry Campground & Cabins offers clean and modern restrooms and shower facilities, a book exchange, wifi (for a fee), cable TV accessibility, laundry facilities, fire pits, and picnic tables. Rates vary depending on your lodging accommodation choices and length of stay, but the basic rate for an RV site with full hookups is $40 per day.

Pets are welcome in the campground as long as they are leashed and under the owner's control, but they are not allowed in the cabins, buildings, or in play areas. Vicious or unruly pets may be asked to leave. Owners must clean up after their pets and are responsible for damages caused by pets.

Leash rules are strongly suggested due to the wild animals that abound in this location. It is common to spot moose, coyote, wolves, foxes, skunk, porcupines, and other animals. While bears are not frequently spotted, there are bears in the area. To keep Fido safe, ensure you have them on a leash no longer than six feet at all times.

While you are visiting, be sure to explore the nature trail that takes hikers through 40 acres of woods. Be sure to douse yourself with some strong bug spray before heading out, and watch for ticks on Fido if you do any outdoor activities!

Wag! does not allow or encourage Pet Care Providers to bring dogs to parks.
