Description
Lake Alpine Silvertip Campground is located in Stanislaus National Forest in California. The campground lies less than one mile from the amazing Lake Alpine. All you have to do is walk the connecting trail from the campground to the lake. The campground is relatively small with only twenty-one campsites, but they can hold three tents and up to six people with two cars per site. Peak season is between June an September, so you can expect the most crowds during this time.

You can hardly get a more perfect camping location as this site sits in between Lake Tahoe and Yosemite. The grounds have some of the most spectacular views in the state of California, an abundance of wildlife, and colorful wildflowers that are picture perfect - especially for those pictures of your adorable pooch! Lake Alpine is also a major attraction since it is the perfect place to swim, boat, fish, kayak, and try a variety of water sports.

At the actual campground, each site has a picnic table and a fire ring. There are also toilets to use on site as well. Just a quick trip away is Lake Alpine Resort, which has hot showers and laundry facilities that you are able to use as well. You are more than welcome to bring your dog to this campground, but they need to wear their leash at all times since there are bears in the area and it could be quite dangerous for your dog to wander off. Always make sure to clean up after your dog does theirs business, to keep the grounds clean and sanitary for other campers. Giving your dog lots of drinking water and a cool place to relax in the shade is important as well.

Overall, if you are looking for one of the most scenic places to camp in this area of Cali, look no further. Lake Alpine Silvertip Campground is situated in a picturesque location that will not disappoint.

Wag! does not allow or encourage Pet Care Providers to bring dogs to parks.
