Description

If you’re at a loss for where to host your next group camping trip, then you’ll be glad you found Lost Creek Group Campground. The campground is set in northeastern California’s Lassen Volcanic National Park, a beautiful sprawl of woodlands and mountains that spreads over 100,000 acres. Campers in the know head to this hidden gem every season to experience some of the best camping that northern California has to offer. Amazing scenery, great activities, and good company make for an unforgettable camping experience — and the campground is pet-friendly, so you can bring your canine companion along for the adventure!

Lost Creek Campground is comprised of eight group campsites, and each site can accommodate up to 25 campers and six vehicles. The nightly fee for a site is $62, which is a great value for a 25-person campsite. The campground has a number of amenities that will make your group camping experience go smoothly: you have access to picnic tables, food lockers, campfire rings with grills, and tap water while you stay at Lost Creek.

You might be tempted to hang around the awesome campground and spend your time relaxing and enjoying the scenery, but there are so many great outdoor activities nearby that it would be a shame not to venture out! Manzanita Lake is nearby, and it provides a great opportunity for fishing or paddling. If you plan on fishing there, note that the area has a catch-and-release policy. You are also required to use artificial lures and single barbless hooks only while you fish. There are some great trails in the area too, like Cinder Cone Interpretive Trail.

Always respect the campground’s leash policy throughout your stay. Also note that a valid park entrance permit or pass is required for camping. There is a $25 entrance fee for vehicles, and pets are not allowed on trails.

Wag! does not allow or encourage Pet Care Providers to bring dogs to parks.
