Description

Lower Falls Campground is located in Trout Lake, Washington, in the Gifford Pinchot National Forest. The campground is most popular in July and August but is open from May through October. This campground does allow dogs, but it is unknown if there are any leash rules. So, it would be good to phone ahead and ask about any special rules for your pooch.

The campground is shaded by many large and beautiful evergreen trees and is just a stone’s throw from many trails and lovely natural features. There are many kinds of trails to choose from that include hiking, biking, motorcycling, and horse trails. The campground is also located near the Lewis River Falls. This is the home of many spectacular waterfalls. You can hike to all of these falls directly from the campground, so they are easily accessible. If you’re interested in fishing, you can fish, but it is catch-and-release only.

There is drinking water available at this campground. However, one source mentions that the only place to get water is the “entrance of the Upper Loop” so be prepared. The road to the campground is paved, and composting toilets are available. It is unknown if there are showers. There are 43 standard sites within the campground that can accommodate tents or RVs. However, there are no electrical hookups available. The sites do have picnic tables, grills, and campfire rings. The campground is notably located about 2 hours from any larger towns. So, make sure you have everything you need with you.

As mentioned, dogs are absolutely welcome, but it’s important to be a good pet parent while you’re camping. Make sure to bring all of the necessities for your pooch - and this includes poop bags. Always pick up after your dog and make sure they aren’t getting into trouble for a more pleasant experience for everyone.

When it comes to adventure, if you’re in Trout Lake, Washington, and you’d like to get up close and personal with beautiful waterfalls, you’re in luck! Take your pooch along for the adventure and make some wonderful memories.

Wag! does not allow or encourage Pet Care Providers to bring dogs to parks.
