Midway RV Park

Itching to get away for some California sunshine with your pooch in tow? Check out the Midway RV Park, a quiet, quaint, and conveniently located campground just 50 miles east of the San Francisco Bay area! This park, set against dramatic, towering Eucalyptus trees (that date bate to the early 1900s) is on-site for where the Northern Pacific Railroad used to grow trees to fuel their steam engines, so it's chock full of fun, California history. 

There's plenty of space at the Midway RV Park, with over 60 spaces with full hookup amenities, laundry, swimming pools, grassy picnic areas, and more. If you're planning on vacationing with your family, make sure to note there are horseshoes and a playground on-site, a fun way to provide hours of entertainment for the kiddos! 

Your pup can join in the fun, too! While most of the park is on-leash, there is an off-leash dog run area on-site so that your pup can run around leash-free, mingle with pups, and allow you to chat with fellow pawrents. Be sure to check out the website for their long list of breed restrictions, as well. 

The Midway RV Park even recently added a super unique feature to their community as well -- garden plots. If you plan to stick around for a while, make sure you join in the fun of planting fruits, vegetables, and California sunflowers! 

One of the greatest parts of this campgrounds is the location. Though you have tons of amenities on-site, you're a mere 30 miles from Sacramento and only about 50 miles from San Francisco. So if you want to head into the city for the sights, the food, or the culture, you're just a short drive away! (Or a fun Vallejo Ferry ride, which is available in town.) Further, you're close by to the Napa Valley wine region if you want to explore wine country, tons of  golf courses, fun factories to tour like the Jelly Belly Candy Factory and the Budweiser Beer Factory, and fun, in-town activities such as the carousel, the Nut Tree Railroad, and lots of shopping! Sounds like a pawsitively great spot for a vacation, doesn't it?
