Description

Planning a road trip on the West Coast? Newberry Mountain RV Park is a campground and motel set up conveniently located on Historic Route 66. Just off I-40, Newberry Mountain is on the way to Las Vegas from Los Angeles, right off Exit 23, just a few miles east of the I-15 exchange in Barstow. Huge nature preserves and wilderness areas surround the grounds in the beautiful deserts of California, which are excellent destinations for any adventurer and their loyal companion.

The park welcomes your pooch for no additional fee, and can accommodate RVs, travel trailers, campers, vans, buses, and more – just as long as it fits in their 45’ space. Costs vary, but they start at $20 for tent set-up and anywhere from $25 to $40 for an RV set up, depending on how many guests are staying, plus the hook-up and amp you need. If you are planning to stay more than a few days, you can ask about their weekly or monthly rates. Plus, you’ll have access to their shower facilities, full laundry, pool, a rec room, and a pond with free fishing! There are a handful of picnic tables available for use as well.

This quaint little place is the pawfect pit stop! Newberry Mountain offers visitors a comfortable spot just outside the city, with a safe, controlled area to spend the night. It is close enough to Newberry Springs that you can get anything you might need, but since it is off the highway, there may be a bit of noise pollution. The full hookups make it easy to relax in the comfort of your motorhome, which is especially important for travelers who are coming with pets that may easily overheat in the desert heat.

While there isn’t much to do, you can plan to stop here on your way to exciting places like the San Bernardino National Forest or the Afton Canyon Natural Area. No matter what your destination, this is a great place to rest your head for a few days while you gear up for your next adventure.

Wag! does not allow or encourage Pet Care Providers to bring dogs to parks.
