North Pines

North Pines Campground is set in northern California’s celebrated Yosemite National Park. It sits surrounded by the awe-inspiring Sierra Nevada Mountains, and countless campers choose to visit the site every year and experience the amazing natural features and outdoor activities the region offers. While the campground has many features that make for an excellent and memorable camping experience, one of its best aspects is that it welcomes canine companions, so you can bring your dog along with you!

The campsite is part of the larger complex of Pines Campgrounds, which also includes Upper Pines and Lower Pines. North Pines is the second largest of the three, and it has 81 sites. At the campground, you will find plenty of amenities that will improve your camping experience: paved roads, flush toilets, drinking water, a fire ring, picnic tables, and a food storage locker. 

There is also plenty of activities within a short distance from the campground. Yosemite National Park has numerous trails that make for a great hiking trip through nature. The park is well-known for its natural and geological features as well as its diverse array of wildlife. You will encounter breathtaking views of the mountains that you’ll never forget! The nearby Merced River also provides an opportunity for paddling and rafting, if that floats your boat.

There are a few things you’ll want to take into consideration when you are visiting North Pines Campground. Note that the campground has a nightly cost of $26. Each site can accommodate a maximum of six people, but you can use as many tents as you like (as long as they fit in the allocated space). Also, remember that you are in bear country, so you should keep all food safely stored and dispose of it properly.
