The Olema Campground is a peaceful, family-friendly campground near the Point Reyes National Seashore in Olema, California. There are 187 sites to choose from, and whether you're staying in a tent or an RV, the campground has all of the amenities you'll need to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Olema Campground is proudly dog-friendly and encourages their visitors to enjoy the facilities with their pets. There is an off-leash park for dogs within the campground, but guests are asked to keep their dog on a leash when they're in any other areas.
Each site at Olema Campground has a fire pit and a picnic table where you can munch on camping fare like smores and hotdogs in comfort. Some of the campgrounds other amenities include hot showers at no extra cost to you, a dump station, free wifi, a playground, a laundromat, and an ATM. To keep you busy during your visit, there are also horseshoes, shuffleboard, and volleyball courts. Some visitors note that there is little privacy between sites, and there aren't many trees to provide campers with shade.
For anything you can't find within the campground, you'll find within two miles in the town of Point Reyes Station, where there's a grocery store and a hardware store. You can also head to the Point Reyes National Seashore to explore the protected coastline, and during certain times of the year, you may even be able to spot gray whales. If you're up for a hike, there are all sorts of trails within the area as well. One such trail is the Bear Valley Trail, a 4.2-mile path that leads to the top of Mount Wittenburg.
Up to two pets are permitted at each campsite, and dogs who bark excessively may be asked to leave the campground. Quiet hours are enforced in the campground from 10 PM to 8 AM each night to make sure you're rested up to enjoy your camping expedition!
