Pipi Campground

Pipi Campground is located in Eldorado National Forest in California. Pipi is a medium to heavy usage campground that is most popular for camping between April to October when the park is open. The campground sits on the Cosumnes River, which provides wonderful fishing and swimming. Cedar and fir trees are in abundance around the campsite, providing lots of shade from the sun and the perfect place to relax. It also is at an elevation of a bit over 4,000 feet, so there are a few places that have great, scenic views. 

The campsites are made up of three different loops, so you can choose which loop best suits your tastes. The summers are dry and warm, so going camping during the summertime is ideal. Fishing is also excellent during this time, and rainbow trout are the main fish that swim in the nearby river. You can use this opportunity to catch your own dinner and grill the delicious fresh fish at your campsite!

The campsites and campgrounds are equipped with a fishing dock, trails, a boardwalk, drinking water, a picnic area, and vault toilets. There are no showers at this site, so if hot showers are important to you while camping, you may want to seek an alternative location. 

Dogs are welcome at the campground, but they must wear their leash at all times and be non-aggressive to other dogs and people at the site. Make sure to clean up after your pooch when they go potty and discard the poop bags properly. This helps keep the environment safe, but also keeps it looking and smelling the best it can!
