Description

Prosser Ranch Campground is one of eastern California’s best group camping locations. It rests in the ubiquitous Tahoe National Forest, making it an ideal destination for anyone who wants to fully experience the breathtaking California outdoors. The campground allows you to immerse yourself in nature and leave the hassles of daily life behind for a while, but it also has great amenities and is conveniently located north of Truckee — you’ll have everything you need for a fantastic stay. Prosser Ranch Group Campground is pet-friendly, so you can bring your dog along too!

The campground consists of a single site that can accommodate up to 50 campers and 10 vehicles for $143 per night. Amenities include picnic and serving tables, a campfire circle with a grill, and drinking water. You won’t have to worry about sun exposure because the campground is well-shaded by the surrounding forest of pine and fir trees. The mountains in the distance and the reservoir next to the campground create picturesque setting that will remain in your memory for a long time.

There are lots of ways you can spend your time while you’re staying at Prosser Ranch. The campground is a nice place to relax and enjoy the company of your group. If you want to venture out and explore the area, there are lots of outdoor activities available. The reservoir is perfect for swimming, fishing, and paddling. It is also suitable for power boating, but note that there is a 10-mph speed limit. The reservoir can be accessed by a boat ramp at the campground. There are also many hiking trails in the area, and these trails are a great way to view some of the local flora and fauna.

Please note that Prosser Ranch does not allow RV camping. Also remember that pets must remain leashed at all times, and bring waste bags to clean up after your dog! This is especially important since black bears have made their home in this part of the forest as recently as May 2018. Store your food and toiletries in a bear-proof box so you don't attract any unwanted visitors to your campsite.

Wag! does not allow or encourage Pet Care Providers to bring dogs to parks.
