Description

Quaking Aspen is a peaceful, shady campground located within Sequoia National Forest. The campground gets its name from the beautiful, shimmering aspen trees surrounding it. Quaking Aspen has 30 standard sites and four tent-only sites. Because the campground has limited turn-around space, it can only accommodate RVs that are shorter than 26 feet in length.

While you’re at Quaking Aspen, you’ll find plenty of pawesome things to do with your pup. The campground is close to lots of hiking trails, including the 1.4-mile Dome Rock Hiking Trail. This trail takes you to beautiful Dome Rock, where you’ll get amazing views of the surrounding forest. The trail also offers great views of the Needles rock formation.

If you’d like to go on a longer trek, check out the Freeman Creek Trail. This 8.9-mile trail goes Freeman Creek Grove, which is filled with huge sequoia trees. It also takes you along a peaceful creek and through the lovely Golden Trout Wilderness. If you want to see even more towering sequoia trees, the famous Trail of 100 Giants is just 10 miles from Quaking Aspen. You won’t have to worry about running out of places to hike while you’re at Quaking Aspen!

After your hike, you and your pup can spend time enjoying Quaking Aspen’s many fun amenities. Many people enjoy fishing in the Tule River, which runs through the campground. There are also plenty of picnic tables where you can relax and enjoy a meal or a snack with your pup. At night, you can use one of the campground’s campfire rings to start a fire. Then, you and your pup can relax and enjoy watching the stars.

Quaking Aspen is a furrific campground that’s close to beautiful natural sites and has tons of great amenities. Bring some doggy bags so you can clean up after your dog while you’re camping, and enjoy your trip to this fun campground!
