Raleigh Oaks RV Resort and Cottages in Four Oaks is one of the nicest pet-friendly campgrounds around, and it's just minutes away from the bustling city of Raleigh! This campground will suit even the most persnickety of pooches and humans with its perfect Good Sam rating for facilities, appeal, and restrooms!
All 150 RV sites have full hookups for maximum comfort and 27 cabins for those who don't own a motorhome. Unfortunately, there are only a few cabins that allow dogs, and the ones that do require a pet deposit. We recommend calling ahead to check for availability since these spots are limited.
If you decide to bring Fido along, be sure to use a leash that is 6 feet or shorter. The only exception to the leash rule is the three fenced pup parks where your pal can go dog wild sniffing out some fellow canine campers! Also, be kind to other guests by picking up after your pooches. (You could be fined $100 for skipping out on your doggie duties!)
Raleigh Oaks aims to make sure the pint-sized campers enjoy their stay just as much as their parents, which is why they've installed a putt-putt course and pirate ship-themed playground. Older kids can enjoy some light-hearted fun with a game of billiards or corn hole in the game room, or if the weather is nice, head outdoors for a rematch with a round of horseshoes or pickleball.
The resort swimming pool is another favorite since it is equipped with a huge enclosed slide! Parents will need to accompany kiddos in the pool area since there are no lifeguards. Guests of all ages look forward to weekend mornings here since the resort hosts a free waffle breakfast! Waffles not your cup of joe? Hit up the on-site grocery store for a box of your favorite cereal!
