Rancho Jurupa Regional Park - Lakeview Campground
If you want to camp by the water with your pup, Lakeview Campground is perfect for you! This tent- and RV-friendly campground is located within beautiful Rancho Jurupa Regional Park. Rancho Jurupa is home to two lovely lakes, and the Santa Ana River also passes through the park. Pups are welcome to join you in Lakeview on-leash, and the daily fee for this campground is $20.
While you’re at Lakeview Campground, you’ll find lots of great things to do with your pup. If your dog is itching for a walk, take them on the paved path that goes around Rancho Jurupa State Park’s lakes. These paths connect to the Santa Ana River Trail, a 50-mile trail that follows the Santa Ana River from Huntington Beach to San Bernardino. As you’re walking along these paths, you may get to see some of the park’s native wildlife, including hummingbirds, squirrels, rabbits, and mud hens.
After your walk, you and your pup can relax at Lakeview and enjoy the campground’s numerous amenities. You can play a game of horseshoe at Lakeview Campground’s horseshoe pit. Or, you can go fishing with your pup at Front Lake, which is right next to Lakeview. You can also go for strolls with your dog in the campground’s grassy common area, which is filled with mature beechwood trees.
When you get hungry, you can grill up dinner for you and your dog on your campsite’s charcoal grill. Then, end your day by sitting by relaxing next to a roaring fire. You and your pup will both enjoy toasting marshmallows under the stars next to your site’s personal fire ring!
