River Bottom Farms Family Campground

With over 40 acres of rolling farmland for you and your pooch to explore, River Bottom Farms Family Campground is the pawfect vacation destination in sunny South Carolina. This campground has amenities that will appeal to every member of the family, furry members included!

For starters, there are marked trails that will bring you through a forested habitat teeming with wildlife. You can find a trail leading to Sleepy Creek where you and your pup may catch a glimpse of a deer, fox, raccoon, or wild hog. You can also marvel at the beauty of the diverse flora in the area, including palmetto, yellow birch, and cypress trees along with blooming Trilliums and other wildflowers that cover the floor of the forest. A second trail will lead you right to North Edisto River, where your pup can cool off and let loose. While taking in the outdoors with Fido, don't forget to tidy up any pet waste they make, and beware of unwanted contact with wild animals in the area.

Dogs are required to stay on a leash no longer than six feet. You're also asked to keep your pup from entering the pool area or any buildings within the campground. Unfortunately, this campground does not permit Pit-bulls or Rottweilers to accompany campers.

All accommodations are paw-friendly at River Bottoms Farm, aside from cabin rentals. Tent sites begin at $34, but these primitive sites have no shade. Upgraded sites are offered with water and electric hookups as well as shade. These sites are intended for smaller vehicles such as pop-up trailers or fifth wheel campers. For RVs,  there are pull-through sites that come with full hookup services, offering a modern experience for you and your pup.

River Bottom is ideal for anglers because there are four stocked fishing ponds, all of which are catch-and-release. Relax by one of the ponds with your four-legged friend, where you can catch bass, sunfish, and brim. You can also enjoy taking a dip in the in-ground pool -- unfortunately, Fido can’t join you.
