Description

Rollways Campground is one of eastern Michigan’s top destinations for outdoor recreation. It was one of the first campgrounds established in the Huron-Manistee National Forest, and every season, countless campers visit to enjoy the region’s scenic natural features and numerous activities. Rollways Campground is dog-friendly, so you can have a furrific time camping out with your woofer and experiencing everything the area has to offer!

Rollways Campground has 19 sites that accommodate up to 8 campers. The nightly fee is $15, and day use of a campsite is also available for $5. All of the sites are equipped with a tent pad, picnic table, campfire ring with grill, and lantern post. Other amenities include drinking water and a picnic shelter. Guests note that the campground's hosts and rangers are friendly and well-informed.

While you’re staying at Rollways Campground, you’ll definitely want to check out some of the recreational activities in the surrounding area. The campground sits beside the AuSable River, where anglers will enjoy fishing for bass, pike, trout, and more. Itching to get out on the water but don't have your own equipment? Rollway Resort, just across the road, offers watercraft rentals!

There are also numerous hiking trails near the campground. For a pleasant walk or hike, head east to Lumbermens Monument Trail. This dog-friendly trail spans just under four miles, and if you take the trail’s stairs to the top of the hill, you’ll have a spectacular view of the AuSable River. For a more challenging hike, head over to Highbanks Trail. This dog-friendly out-and-back trail covers about 13 miles. It has a woodland setting, but once in a while, you’ll catch a glimpse of the river through the trees.

Your furry friend will have to remain on a leash throughout your stay at Rollways Campground. Also, please remember to clean up after your dog. Note that the campground does not allow off-road vehicles on the premises. RVs are welcome, but there are no electric or sewer hookups.

Wag! does not allow or encourage Pet Care Providers to bring dogs to parks.
