Sage Hill

Set in the Santa Ynez Mountain Range of southern California, Sage Hill Campground is the perfect destination for your next camping adventure. The campground is part of Los Padres National Forest, an expansive stretch of woodlands and mountains running from Ventura to Monterey that covers nearly 3,000 square miles. There are many activities available near the campsite, and the natural beauty of the surrounding region provides an excellent backdrop for your camping experience. Even better, you can bring your dog along with you!

The campground is made up of five group sites, and each site can hold 25 to 50 people at a time. There is also one site that is set up for equestrian use, but note that this site has a slightly higher daily fee than the others. The campground is shaded by picturesque oak trees, and it is a short distance away from the Santa Ynez River and Cachuma Lake Recreation Area, a fantastic location for fishing, boating, and paddling. This area is well-known for its hiking, which can be a good way to take in the natural features, geology, and wildlife of the region and spend some quality time with your dog. You can also head to Santa Barbara, which is only a short half-hour trip from the campground and has plenty of things to do.

When you are planning your trip to Sage Hill Campground, there are a few things you should keep in mind. First, the daily cost for a site is $125. Remember that you are in a bear zone, so you should store and dispose of food safely. Swimming and body contact are prohibited in Cachuma Lake as well. Finally, wood and charcoal fires are restricted.
