Shore Hills Campground and RV Park is a family campground that accommodates tent and RV camping in Boothbay, Maine. The wooded campground which sits by the Back River is under three miles from the Boothbay Harbor and offers spectacular waterfront views, as well as a convenient location for sightseeing, boating, and fishing. It is pet-friendly, family-friendly, and big-rig friendly! Unfortunately, breeds that are deemed aggressive by the campground’s hosts will not be permitted to stay here.Â
The campground consists of 150 sites with partial and full hookups available, pull-throughs, and ADA-accessible sites. Patrons can pick from waterfront, open and sunny sites, as well as shaded sites in the wooded sections of the park. In addition to spacious tent and RV sites, the campground offers cozy cabin rentals that vary in size, location, and price. Cabins include bathrooms and outdoor grills, as well as linens and towels for an additional charge. They sleep two to four people and provide a great alternative for those who want to experience the campground in comfort, especially since they come with free wifi and cable TV! The campground also features a dump station, a store stocked with everything from wood and ice to souvenirs and snacks, and a function hall with free events, most of which take place in June.Â
Both tent and RV sites are equipped with fire circles, grills, trash cans, and picnic tables. The campground offers rocky coastline views, easy access to a scenic pond, numerous walking paths for dog walking, a small dog run, and trash receptacles that help keep the campground clean and poop-free. Please do your part in keeping the environment clean and pick up after your pooch if you visit. There are well-stocked restrooms with flush toilets, hot showers, and laundry facilities on site. Tent sites are $32 per night while RV sites start at $48 per night.Â
If the above amenities weren’t enough, there is a dog-friendly shuttle service that takes campers directly from the campground to downtown and the Boothbay Harbor for just $2! If you visit the area, make sure to check out the famous Boothbay Railway Museum, Funtown Splashtown, and the local botanical gardens.Â
