Just north of Highway 58 in the Mojave Desert area lies a little oasis called the Sierra Trails RV Park. This park and campground is just the place to go if you are looking to RV, tent camp, or rent a cabin while you explore the Mojave area.
The campground is pet-friendly, but Fido has to be on a leash at all times and, of course, you must clean up after any messes. There are multiple amenities, such as full bathrooms and hot showers, laundry facilities, and barbecue areas for grilling. You can even enjoy recreational activities in their game room or swim in the heated pool.
The RV sites can accommodate RVs that are up 70 feet long and full and partial hookups are offered. Wifi and cable TV are available. Relax under the shade trees and on the lawns, enjoy a picnic on one of the many picnic tables, watch TV on the big screen, or workout in the fitness center.Â
Regular rates are $40 per night for RVs but rates vary for tents, cabins, and long and short-term stays. Rates are for two people per site and $2 each additional person over 8 years old is charged. There is an upcharge of $2 for cable TV use.
Exploring nearby takes you and Fido to the Poppy Reserve, Red Rock Canyon, Death Valley, and the Borax Mines. Many people who don't plan ahead correctly end up getting sick, and their pets can get sick or end up dying of dehydration, so it can't be stressed enough to plan ahead and pack plenty of water and salty snacks for both you and Fido before embarking on these treks.
Regardless of whether you stay in the campground or explore the beauty of the surrounding areas, the Sierra Trails RV Park has something for everyone to enjoy. The Mojave area is considered on the most scenic places to visit, so add this one to your must-see list!
