Primarily used as an equestrian park, Silver Creek encompasses over 300 acres of forested land, with trails carved out waiting for you and your pets to explore.

As the park was created for equestrian entertainment, there are strict rules for you to follow with your pooch. You're to keep them on a leash at all times that's no longer than six feet, and they’re never to be left unattended. As dogs can upset horses, it's important to be mindful of other guests while utilizing the trails with your pup and while patrolling the campground. Refrain from allowing your pooch to disturb the horses while you admire their beauty.

All campsites at the park welcome both pups and horses. Day passes are available at Silver Creek for $5 per day per person with their horse or dog. All campsites are primitive and perfect for tent camping, but they can accommodate RVs and other camping vehicles as well. Sites only cost $12 per day but no hookups are offered for water, electricity, or sewage. Vault toilets and hand pumps for water are available for guests. All campsites come with fire rings and picnic tables. They're also shaded due to the forested location. Sites also come with picket posts and can accommodate up to six horses, your pup, and 4 adults or a family.

When it comes to entertainment, start off by exploring the 30 miles of equestrian trails scattered throughout the campground's 320 acres. Specific trails are marked and used for riding, so when walking your pup, you must be mindful and aware of other guests and animals. This campground is located within the Allegan State Game Area, over 50,000 wooded acres of parkland that is home to 20 miles of hiking trails which may be more ideal for you and your pooch.
