Somerset Beach Campground & Retreat Center

Located in the south of Michigan, Somerset Beach Campground and Retreat Center offers guests access to over 200 acres of the great outdoors. At Somerset, dogs are welcome and the wide variety of accommodations make it easy to meet the needs of any camper.

You won't be disappointed with the amenities offered at this campground. Not only does it have multiple bathhouses, but there is also laundry service, a snack bar, as well as worship services for those looking for a more spiritual vacation. 

The campground is located right on Mission Lake and has dock access and a boat ramp. At the lake, you can find paddle boats and other rental options, as well as recreation opportunities for swimmers and anglers. Planned activities offered to those visiting the children’s camp or adult retreat are also available to you during your stay. If you're into sports, you may enjoy the horseshoe pits, tennis courts, disc golf, and other outdoor games!

Somerset is an ideal spot for you and your pooch because there's so much to do! Just keep in mind that you're expected to keep your pup on a leash at all times that does not exceed 10 feet in length. Your pup is allowed to explore the many acres surrounding the park; however, you're asked to keep them away from the main beach, the petting farm, playgrounds, and picnic areas. Dogs are also not permitted on some of the hiking trails -- you can ask the campground staff for more information.

At Somerset Beach Campground you'll find more than 150 sites available. All sites come with electricity and can accommodate tents, RVs, and pop-up trailers. A vehicle permit is required for those bringing motor vehicles and there’s a maximum of two vehicles per site. A dump and fill station is located at the front entrance for guest to use at their convenience. If you're interested in visiting the campground for the day, day passes cost $2 per guest or $5 per car.

If you'd like a chance to experience the campground but don't have your own equipment, you have the option of staying in one of the rustic cabins available. Cabins sleep six and can accommodate pets. Cabins come with a porch, a table, and climate control.
