Ten Mile Campground (CA)

Ten Mile Campground is one of the premier campgrounds in southern California. It is located in the famous Sequoia National Forest, the vast expanse of woodlands that covers over one million acres in California’s Sierra Nevada region. Every season, campers visit Ten Mile to leave the bustle of the big city behind and get in touch with nature. The campground is surrounded by amazing natural scenery, and its convenient location near many of southern California’s best recreation sites makes it the perfect destination for your next camping trip. Bring your pooch along too — the campground is pet-friendly!

You have the choice of single or double campsites at Ten Mile Campground. There are 11 sites total, and the nightly fee is $23 for a single site and $46 for a double site. (Please note that there is an additional charge of $2 to $4 on holidays.) The surrounding trees provide the campground with plenty of shade, and there are a number of amenities that will enhance your camping experience as well. Picnic tables, food storage lockers, vault restrooms, and campfire rings with grills are provided for your convenience.

While you’re staying at Ten Mile Campground, you have expedient access to the area’s recreation sites. Hume Lake rests near the campground, and it's a great location for fishing and non-motorized boating. You will also find trails near the lake that are suitable for hiking and mountain biking.

When you’re planning your visit to Ten Mile Campground, there are a few things you should take into consideration. There is no drinking water available at the campground, so you will need to bring your own. Dogs must remain leashed at all times. Note that you are in bear country and will have to store and dispose of food safely. Finally, remember that there is a two-vehicle maximum at the single sites; the double sites can accommodate up to four vehicles.
