This large, single-site campground is known for its semi-primitive setting and convenient access to trails, making it the perfect place to escape the daily grind and enjoy the company of friends, family, and even your dog! The campground allows pets, so you can bring your canine companion along for a furrific camping trip.

Tent Peg Group Campground sits between Lake Arrowhead and Big Bear Lake. Its large group site can accommodate up to 40 campers and 8 vehicles at a time. The nightly fee for staying at the campground is $132, with an additional $10 charge on holidays. There is also a $5 fee for each additional vehicle. The campground is accessible from a dirt road that connects to the gravel parking lot. There are useful amenities on the premises such as picnic tables, campfire circles with grills, and vault restrooms. The surrounding forest contains pine, cedar, and oak trees which provide plenty of shade for the campsite.

Spending time at the campground is enjoyable, but you may also be interested in exploring the area’s great recreation opportunities. Off-roading is a popular activity at the numerous trails throughout the forest: Crab Creek, Deep Creek, and Redonda Ridge trails are some of the popular choices. Hiking trails are also available, and Green Valley Lake is situated six miles from the campground and provides an excellent opportunity for boating, fishing, or swimming.

When you’re staying at Tent Peg Group Campground, remember that your furry friend must remain leashed at all times. Please note that there is no drinking water provided at the campground. Also note that accessing the campground requires traversing a stream that is 12’ wide and 2’ deep. High-clearance vehicles are suggested.
