Description

The Landing Point RV Park is an ideal stopover point for folks on the road between Saint Louis and Memphis in need of a time-out. Here, they’ll be treated to sites with a level, concrete pad in a gorgeous country setting with established trees for shade. There are pull-through and back-in options with solid connections to electricity (30/50 amp), water, and sewer, plus a manicured grassy space for a complimentary picnic table, fire grill, and room to slide out the awning.

Roads are paved and fairly easy for the larger motorhomes to navigate. Internet access and cable TV are available on all sites. Restroom, shower, and laundry facilities are well-maintained, and there's also a playground for the kids and a horseshoe pit. The personable hosts make this a nice place to be for a daily rate of $37.50.

Roadtrippers with canines on board are always pleasantly surprised to find a park with a fenced dog run where their pooch can unwind off-leash. Standard on-leash rules apply when woofers are out of the RV or pooch park, and guardians will be expected to bring the doggy bags and pick up their pups' waste. A creek at the back of the park is a fun spot where fur-babies can dip their paws and explore wide open spaces for daily walks. There appear to be no size or breed restrictions here, but a quick call to the pet-friendly staff can verify their pet policy.

The park is also home to local workers lucky enough to live in a quiet, rural campground with tidy amenities and the convenience of a town nearby. Cape Girardeau is around 6 miles from the park, and a wondrous spectacle of old greets new with the legendary Mississippi River flowing through. The town's origins are showcased in the Old Capetown district, a buzzing tourist hub with hidden gems waiting to be unearthed in the various antique stores.

If outdoor fun is your preference, experience the Cape Girardeau Conservation Nature Center, a Missouri jewel highlighting the region's wildlife and native plants with a scenic hiking trail just over a mile long.

The Landing Point RV Park has an inviting allure that sees RVers touch down at this welcoming camp with not a hint of traffic noise. It's especially pawpular during the summer and holidays, so book your stay in advance to avoid disappointment!

Wag! does not allow or encourage Pet Care Providers to bring dogs to parks.
