Looking for a comfortable RV park as close to urban amenities and attractions as it is to outdoor adventure? Well, look no fur-ther than Valencia Travel Village! Conveniently located between Santa Clarita and Ventura, CA, this pawesome park has all the creature comforts that you and your pooch could possibly ask for. Campers have access to full RV hookups, including electricity, sewer, and water. Showers are also available. There’s a convenience store on-site, so there’s no need to pack up with provisions, and non-furry family members should have a whale of a time splashing about in the pool and investigating the playground. The park is sheltered by stately, mature trees and features wide open grassy spaces, ideal for walking your doggo if you don’t feel like moving too far from basecamp. Unfortunately, there aren’t any sites for tent camping.
Of course, all this comes at a premium -- sites at Valencia Travel Village start at $55 per night, though it is possible to get a discount if you use Passport America. Nonetheless, the RV park is understandably paw-pular with visiting pups and their people, so it’s best to book well in advance.
You and your buddy certainly won’t be bored during your stay! If you feel like exploring the sites and sounds of LA, you’ll be glad to know that the park is close to many tourist hotspots, including Griffith Observatory. Your pup won’t be allowed inside the observatory itself, of course, but you two are welcome to wander the grounds, and the Mt. Hollywood Trail is just a bone’s throw away. Outdoorsy puppers will be glad to know that the trails surrounding Lake Hughes are just a short drive away. The Burnt Peak trail in particular is a furrifically Fido-friendly route, and boasts some gorgeous wildflowers. And if your four-pawed pal needs to run free, don’t fret -- Valencia Travel Village has its very own dog run!
Wifi is available at Valencia Travel Village, and most cellular networks should get good coverage. Fires aren’t permitted, except in designated BBQ grills. You’ll also find drinking water on site. Remember to bring waste bags for your furry friend, and have a pawesome vacation!
