Keep an eye on your dog, because there is no separation of large and little dogs. There are plenty of tables and benches for the owners to sit and chat as they watch their dogs explore this park covered in wood chips and dirt. Like all good dog park visitors, have some bags in your pocket and make sure you pick up after your pup.
In the rain, this park has the potential to get muddy. Also, after storms, many visitors report fallen trees, so be careful when you take your dog here and report any problems to the City of Decatur. Any aggressive behavior is not tolerated and is encouraged to be resolved by the owners, but you can call the number posted on the fence to report problem pups.
The park is located near the DeKalb's Historic Complex Center. There is only street parking available and the City of Decatur encourages you to be mindful of residents. The Adair Dog Park is accessible to Decatur residents only and all dogs must be licensed and wearing their tags. Dogs must be spayed/neutered and can never be left alone. There is a maximum of three dogs per one owner. Children are welcome in the park, but must be closely supervised fir safety.
