The City of Decatur is committed to keeping dogs safe and encourages aggressive dogs or incidents be reported to the Decatur Active Living Department. You can sit on one of the many benches and chat with other dog lovers. There are also tables under a covering just outside the fence for owners to relax and enjoy watching their dogs play. If your dog gets thirsty, there is water for your pup, but you'll need to bring your own poop bags. There are garbage cans around the park for easy and quick disposal.
At this park and all the parks in Decatur, make sure your dog is licensed and wearing his tag on his collar. Your pup must also be spayed/neutered and well-mannered. There is a maximum of three dogs per one human, so make sure for every two human legs you only have 12 doglegs. Any more legs, you'll need to take a human friend, too. The park is its busiest in the late afternoon, usually from 4pm-6pm.
This park is in the Glenlake Park, just behind the lower ball field. You can access it via Church Street and parking is available near the tennis center and at the lot near Norris Street.
