Ronald Reagan Dog Park

Ronald Reagan Dog Park is a part of a large, 25-acre park with 2 acres dedicated to the dog park. This park has areas for dogs under 20 pounds and another area for dogs over 20 pounds. There's also a stretch for your long-legged dogs to sprint and race if he's into that sort of thing. There's also agility and exercise equipment including ramps and tunnels for Fido to play on. While your dog works out, you can watch him from the picnic tables or benches. This fenced in area lets Fido have fun all day if you let him. 

The dog park has a ground covering of grass and dirt. When it rains, some areas might become muddy. The park also has a water fountain for the dogs and a PVC pipe filled with poop bags for visitors. If you have some extra bags at home, contribute to the supply at the park. Of course, be a good park visitor and clean up after your dog. Make sure when you visit the park, that you bring a maximum of three dogs and that they all respond to your command. If your dog likes to dig, please fill in the holes he makes. Your dog must be licensed and wearing his tag when he is in the park. 

Aggressive dogs and dogs in heat are not allowed in the park. Children are not allowed unless supervised, as this is an off-leash area. Don't bring any food, human or dog, into the park and don't bring any glass bottles. Smoking is also prohibited. If you're exploring the rest of the park's many amenities like the trails, courts, or skate park, be sure to keep Fido on his leash until you reach the gated entries of the dog park. Bathrooms for humans are in the park, but near the entrance.

The park is easy to find, but be careful when leaving. Making a left hand turn onto Five Forks Trickum Road is tricky; you might save time and frustration by turning right and then turning around at a more convenient and safe spot.
