Amelia Earhart Bark Park

There's no end to outdoor adventures in sunny Florida! And for pups living in Hialeah, off leash fun is just around the corner! The Amelia Earhart Park is over 500-acres, and is pupular for its trails, water activities, and skate park. Best of all for pooches, though, is the puptastic Amelia Earhart Bark Park!

Surrounded by luscious trees and meandering trails, the Bark Park in the eastern section of the park is designed for canine fun! Spanning over 5-acres, the park is split into small and large dogs sections, meaning whatever size your pup is, they can play with similarly sized peers. Both sections are quite expansive, and have plenty of grass-carpeted room to run and cavort with pals. Whether chasing tails, or running through tunnels, your dog is sure to find fun here. 

When its hot out, the park provides plenty of shade, as well as water sprays to help keep dogs cool. Water fountains for both people and pups are also provided to ensure everyone stays hydrated. Benches and picnic tables give pup pawrents a place to relax and keep an eye on the action. And with ample doggie waste bags and trash cans, prompt clean-up is a breeze.

While the Bark Park is free to enter, to use the attached parking lot, or any inside Amelia Earhart Park, you'll need to pay $7 during weekends and holidays. If you go during weekdays, however, parking is free. Make sure your dog is fully vaccinated before visiting the Bark Park, and is wearing their current license and rabies tags. Unfurtunately, pit bulls are not allowed to play in this pup playground. 

Playing in the Bark Park should always be off leash, but your dog will need to have the leash on when entering and exiting the dog park, and when exploring the rest of Amelia Earhart Park. With pawrific lakes, restrooms, trails to wander, picnic areas and lots of sports, there's plenty to see here!
