Dogs are permitted access to the grounds with their families; however, they must remain on a lead at all times. There is no dog play area at Arkansas Headwaters State Park nor are there are any on-site amenities for their use. Owners should bring drinking water and poop bags with them. All pet waste removal is the responsibility of each owner. Bathrooms are housed on the grounds for public use.
Arkansas Headwaters State Park is pleased to offer access to their private recreational area and campgrounds for a fee. A day pass can be purchased for $7 with a yearly permit costing $70. Campsites are available for rental by reservation only. Fees are applicable, but it is not known what the precise costs are. Outside firewood is not permitted on the premises. Arkansas Headwaters State Park supports Colorado state law by requiring all dogs visiting their property to be current on all immunizations. A city dog license is also mandatory.
