With 2,200 acres, Arrowhead State Park has plenty of room and so much to offer its visitors. Eufaula Lake, the largest man-made lake in Oklahoma and one of the largest in the southwest, offers guests opportunities for a number of outdoor recreational activities, both on and off the water.
On land, the park contains 25 miles of equestrian trails, hiking trails, campgrounds, a golf course, and more. The park has horses available for rental, or visitors can bring their own. There are two hiking trails; one an easier three-quarter-mile trail with hilly terrain, the other a three-mile trail that is recommended for advanced hikers only.
There are 91 tent sites and 91 RV sites, 20 with full hookups. There is also an equestrian camp with hitching posts and water and electric hookups. For families with children, the park offers a playground and a petting zoo. The golf course offers reservations on a tee time, and some RV campsites may be reserved in advance through the park’s website or by phone. Camping fees start at $14 for tent sites, or up to $25 for RV sites with full hookups.
On the water, guests may utilize the park’s boat ramp near the marina to boat, water ski, waterboard, and more. There is a restaurant at the marina, and also a place to purchase bait, fuel, and tackle equipment. Fishers might catch catfish, crappie, or sand bass.
Pets are permitted in all Oklahoma State Parks, but must be kept on a leash no longer than 10 feet in length at all times and can never be left unattended. Always bring waste bags and remember to clean up after your pet. Be respectful of other guests and do not allow your pet to become a nuisance.
If you are on the eastern side of Oklahoma or you’re looking for a big beautiful lake area to relax and have fun with your family or furry companion, Arrowhead State Park welcomes you!
