Bark Place Dog Park

The Bark Place Dog Park is an off-leash dog park in Edmond, Oklahoma. The dog park is an area of the city's Bickham-Rudkin Park which is a favorite with residents and visitors alike for fishing, picnicking and walking its many trail paths. There is a large parking lot at the entrance of Bickham-Rudkin Park where pet parents can leave their vehicle. 

Pooches need to be kept leashed until they're inside the designated off-leash area not just for their own safety but to prevent disturbances to other park users. This dog park is a fantastic four acres which are reserved solely for Edmond pups to get some time off-leash in a secure environment. The spacious compounds, which have dirt and grass surfaces, are full of tree covered hills, so there's lots for pups to explore. 

One section is just for toy breeds under thirty pounds, senior dogs with low energy levels and dogs with handicaps. There are fire hydrants, agility equipment, and water sprinklers for when its warm. The extra big plus this dog park in Edmond has is direct access to a swimming pond. The pond has gated access so if pet parents prefer their dog not to swim; then it can be easily prevented. 

No-one under the age of eighteen is permitted in the off-leash areas of this dog park in Edmond unless they are accompanied by some over the age of eighteen. Owners are also responsible for ensuring the environment they are unleashing their pup into is a safe one for it. 

That means if a dog can't swim, double check the pond gate is closed before letting a dog off its leash. If there's a fur buddy in the park which your dog doesn't get on with, it's up to you, the owner, to either supervise your dog to make sure nothing untoward happens or better still, to choose to go back at another time.
