One enclosure has been reserved for use by dogs who are small, timid, and elderly. Here, a gentler play style reigns. Owners are required to actively supervise all play time and to keep their dogs on a lead when not in the designated off-leash zones. The Barkley Dog Park is a private dog play haven, and access is granted only to residents of Sandoval.
It is unknown if there is a fee or membership process to gain entrance to the grounds. The play areas are complete with many features sure to enhance Fido's day of fun at the dog park. Drinking water is provided via a fountain, and there are also wading pools and a hose to help cool Fido off after a day of play under the hot Florida sun.
Also housed on the grounds are benches and poop bags. It'as the responsibility of all owners to clean up after their pets as required by Florida state legislation. The nearby Calypso Park is renowned for its picturesque grounds and cleanliness. Its on-site attractions include a walking path, gardens featuring ornamental grasses, a fishing pier, picnic areas, and barbecues for public use.
It is unknown if bathrooms are installed on the property for public use. The Barkley Dog Park requires all dogs visiting their dog playground to be current on all vaccinations and licensed with the city. Tags showing proof of both must be visible on each dog's collar. Owners are permitted to have a maximum of two dogs under their care per visit.
